申请范德堡大学的转学政策，最低可转12个学分，录取到范德堡大学后需修够最少60个学分（4学期）才能获得范德堡大学本科学位。转学生参考标准：高中成绩单、大学成绩单、课外活动以及申请者申请的专业要求等。转学环节不需要面试。
已经获得BA或BS本科学位申请申请者有两种选择途径：一是直接申请范德堡研究生院攻读研究生学位；二是社区布莱尔音乐学院、工程学院或教育与人类发展学院攻读本科第二学位。学校通常在录取前不会参评转学学分问题，申请者只有录取后才能具体联系科目转学分问题。转学生通常在没有特殊条件下可以在校内住宿。
